Your perfect fit, made easy. Follow these quick steps to customise your Baulchin hat for all-day comfort:
- Remove the adhesive backing from the hat insert.
- Position the hat insert between the sweatband and satin inside.
- Press firmly on the hat insert for 10 seconds.
HAT PIN
Effortless to adjust, refined to elevate. Follow this simple process to attach your two cotter pins:
- Hold the cotter pin firmly and slide between the stitching on the sweatband.
- Pull the pin fully through the base of the sweatband until it is just the hook at the end of the cotter pin showing.
- Spread the two sides of the cotter pin outwards, as close to horizontal as possible to sit against the curve of the hat base.
HAT STEAMING
Got an indented hat that needs a little refresh? Here’s how to bring it back to life:
- Start with a gentle, handheld steamer. Keep it on low to medium heat - we want a soften, not a soak.
- Once the crown feels warm and pliable, lightly reinforce the indent with the edge of the steamer or your fingers. Think: guide, don’t force.
- Place the hat on a clean, firm surface to cool and set. Let it rest for a few minutes so the shape locks in.
